Therapist

Michael Cugno, LICSW

“Practice makes progress, not perfection. If everything was perfect, life would be boring.”

“You are the expert of you.”

“Yeah, this is therapy, but that doesn’t mean we can’t have fun and a few laughs.”

“A place to be your authentic self and speak the truth without judgement.”

I began pursuing a career as a social worker in 2010 as shift supervisor at an adolescent residential group while starting my graduate work for my MSW at Wheelock College. Following my graduation and licensure, I have gained experience working for and/or with DCF and DMH via their in-home support and stabilization services. Within these services is where I was able to hone my skills while providing a wide array of services including but not limited to: individual child therapy, mentoring, play-therapy, family therapy, parent counseling, group counseling, child and family advocacy within the educational and legal systems. I like to practice what I preach around the idea of family which is why I am excited to explore new opportunities alongside my brother, Marcello, within this private-practice while providing the best services alongside you and your child.
